Designing
Elements
Add them from the bar above the canvas.
| Element | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Text | Rich text: colours, gradients, bold and the rest, your own fonts, placeholders. |
| Image, GIF | Your pictures, pixel for pixel. GIFs play in game. |
| Shape, Icon | Boxes with borders and rounded corners, and line icons. |
| Player, Head | A skin, flat. Player can be the whole body or just the half (head and shoulders). |
| Item | Any Minecraft item, picked from the list. |
| List | Rows that repeat: a leaderboard. {rank} counts 1, 2, 3… in each row. |
Drag to move, pull the corners to resize, turn with the round knob. Shift-click or drag a box on the canvas to select several. The small ring on a selected element is the point it turns and scales about: drag it anywhere.
Slides
A hologram can have several slides that take turns, each shown for its own number of seconds. Elements on Every slide stay up the whole time. A slide or an element can have Show when rules, for example a permission or a placeholder's value, so each player sees what applies to them.
Placeholders
Type % in a text to pick a placeholder. Text that grows with its value grows away from its Anchor: Left, Center or Right. Refresh sets how often it is read again. Use Placeholders above the canvas to try values in the editor.
Motion
Select an element, turn on Record in the Motion tab, and move, turn or resize it on the canvas: each change becomes a keyframe at the playhead. The presets (Float, Bounce, Spin…) are a quick start.
Hologram settings
Click an empty spot on the canvas: the inspector shows the Hologram section.
| Setting | |
|---|---|
| Turn | None: it stays where you placed it. Vertical: it turns left and right to face each player. Horizontal: it tilts up and down. Both: it always faces the player. |
| Double-sided | Readable from behind as well. Only for holograms that don't turn. |
| Bedrock | What Bedrock players see: its Text (they can't see pictures, skins or items), or nothing with Hidden. Hide the ones that read oddly as text alone, like a logo. |
| View range | How far away players see it, in blocks. |
